Privacy Policy

Golf Tourism Japan Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “our,” or the “Company”) establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this “Policy”) as follows regarding the handling of personal information of customers, business partners, and other related parties (collectively, “Users”) in the services provided by the Company (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).

Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)

In this Policy, “Personal Information” means “personal information” as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (the “APPI”), namely information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained therein, as well as data relating to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and insurer numbers on health insurance cards, and other information that can identify a specific individual on its own (personal identification information).

Article 2 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)

We collect and use Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Service (including planning and arranging travel plans, making various reservations, and providing guidance)
  • To respond to inquiries from Users (including identity verification)
  • To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns of the Service, and information about other services provided by the Company
  • To contact Users as necessary for maintenance and important notices
  • To identify Users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use
  • To enable Users to view, change, or delete their registered information, and to view their usage status
  • To smoothly promote collaboration with partner companies, local governments, and other entities
  • For recruitment screening and employee management
  • For purposes incidental to the above purposes

Article 3 (Change of Purpose of Use)

We may change the purpose of use of Personal Information only when the changed purpose is reasonably recognized as being related to the original purpose.

If we change the purpose of use, we will notify Users of the changed purpose by a method prescribed by the Company or publish it on this website.

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

We will not provide Personal Information to third parties without prior consent of Users, except in the following cases, and except where permitted by the APPI or other applicable laws and regulations:

  • When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
  • When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
  • When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government organization, local government, or a party entrusted by them to perform duties prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the individual’s consent may impede the performance of such duties

Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the recipient shall not be deemed a third party in the following cases:

  • When we outsource all or part of the handling of Personal Information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
  • When Personal Information is provided in connection with a business succession due to merger or other reasons
  • When Personal Information is jointly used with a specific party, and the following items are notified to the individual in advance or made readily accessible to the individual: (i) that the information will be jointly used, (ii) items of Personal Information to be jointly used, (iii) the scope of joint users, (iv) the purpose of use by the joint users, and (v) the name or title of the person responsible for managing the Personal Information

Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When we are requested by the individual to disclose their Personal Information, we will disclose it to the individual without delay. However, we may withhold all or part of the information if disclosure falls under any of the following, and if we decide not to disclose, we will notify the individual without delay:

  • When it may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
  • When it may significantly hinder the proper execution of our business
  • When it would otherwise violate laws and regulations

Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If a User’s Personal Information held by us is inaccurate, the User may request correction, addition, or deletion of such Personal Information in accordance with procedures prescribed by the Company.

Article 7 (Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information)

If the individual requests suspension of use or deletion of Personal Information on the grounds that it is handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it was obtained by improper means, we will conduct necessary investigations without delay and, based on the results, take measures such as suspension of use, and notify the individual accordingly.

Article 8 (Changes to This Policy)

The contents of this Policy may be changed without notifying Users, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or this Policy. Unless otherwise stipulated by the Company, the revised Policy shall become effective when posted on this website.
